Here's some great advance blogger buzz from a bibliophile at Book Soup (Say that five times). The writer identified with the book so much she found herself crying, which I found inspiring for several reasons, first and foremost being that the reader is female. When I set out to write this book, my target audience was teenage boys, their parents and teachers, and adult men many of whom expressed to me something along the lines of "I wish there'd been something like this when I was a kid and had no one out there to identify with." But I also thought that the book might strike a chord with teenage girls eager to tap into what was going on in the minds of their male counterparts and how their struggles and insights could also inform their own--a sort of "boys are from mars women are from venus" for the teenage set.
