Not A Book About Boys

I like to think of "The Secret Lives of Boys" as a book not about boys--but a book about people. Who happen to be teenage boys.

That said, the boys in my book are some of the most fascinating, intriguing, compelling individuals that you will ever meet. In print and in real-life. As the book nears its publication date of April 27th (!) and readies to hit bookstores all over the country and world (Brazil edition due soon), I'm excited to be gearing up for publicity appearances and readings. So far, I'll be reading to crowds in Los Angeles and Boston with other locations to soon be announced. So please keep checking the "appearances" page for further book tour dates and other "The Secret Lives of Boys" media info.

Remember, boys are the new girls. So much has American culture been heavily focused on female teens, teenage boys have gotten the shaft. And when they are in the news it's invariably for something like shooting up a school or vandalizing a public park or getting a gaggle of teenage girls preggers. But boys are so much more than such crisis-alerting headlines. It's the boys turn now to reveal what really goes on in their worlds--the bad, the ugly and, yes it's true--the GOOD. Boys today want you to hear what they have to say. Trust me, they have to say a lot.

So please buy the book, make plans to attend a reading and keep checking back for more exciting news about boys boys boys!
